So where do I begin? We came [to UPF] in the hopes to find something different, magical, beautiful, and challenging at the same time....WE FOUND JUST THAT!! We came to your wonderful foundation with open arms for our possible new baby and you did nothing short of putting him in a stroller and bib for us... Your dedication in helping us find the right temperament, size and looks really paid off and we couldn't be happier with him.
Joshua left your foundation being the shy kind hearted baby, leaving his surroundings behind and all that he knew to start his new life as a big boy. The funny part of all this is that i went there and fell in love with another PMU gelding you had there named "James", with his huge stature and friesian looks, and right away you said he was beautiful and that he would need some real work.
We admire that you did not try and pawn off this horse to us just to get him sold and out of there. You sat there and handpicked a few horses and left us to decide which one was right.
Joshua being 5 now (3 when we got him) is AMAZING. He was a sloppy, shaggy, tri-colored mess of a horse when we got him and now he’s the dark, lovely bay I always thought him to be. I call him my designer impostor friesian horse! With all his characteristics and funny behavior he’s become part of the family and we love him so much.
Joshua at this moment is the main subject in a lot of my photography work, and is currently still being trained to ride and behave himself, as he does have a lot of energy. He still acts like the big baby he was when we first got him. Thank you UPF for the gift of our baby, and thank you for helping all these horses in your lifetime. You’re making horses happy and also the people that get them.
